A homegrown, community based initiative, the Grassroots Archaeology Project seeks to combine professional expertise and local support to discover the story of a forgotten monument.

Through historical and cartographic research and through targeted excavations in some of the gardens and greenspaces of Seagrange, Baldoyle, it is hoped that the project will not only add to the archaeological knowledge of the area but will also contribute to the sense of identity and community for residents of this constructed sub-urban landscape.
